Network of Iranians for Knowledge and Innovation

Network of Iranians for Knowledge and Innovation(NIKI) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that has been established in both Europe and the US by Iranian academics.

The NIKI is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer-based NGO that seeks to actively promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation through a range of outreach activities. These are involving a variety of players from individual academics, universities, and professional associations.

Prof Lotfi A. zadeh Wins Benjamin Franklin Medal in Electrical Engineering
The 2009 Benjamin Franklin Medal in Electrical Engineering is presented to Lotfi Zadeh for his invention and development of the field of fuzzy logic, a mathematical system that captures aspects of the ambiguity of human language and thought, which has solved problems in areas such as artificial intelligence and the automated control of machines.
 The Trustee of NIKI, Prof Cumrun Vafa Becomes Member of The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of the United States
A National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of the United States announced the election of 72 new members, including two Iranian scientists. The newly-elected Iranian-American members are Cumrun Vafa, a trustee of NIKI and a professor at the Department of Physics, Center for Fundamental Laws of Nature, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. and Keyvan M. Shokat, a researcher at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and professor at the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, University of California, San Francisco. Prof Vafa had received the 2008 Dirac Medal.
 Iran"s first cloned goat born in Isfahan
The Middle East"s first and the world"s fifth cloned goat, "Hanna", has been successfully born at Royan institute in Isfahan, Iran.
 Presidents Of 6 Leading U.S. Universities Visit Iran
The presidents of six leading U.S. universities toured Iran, the latest in a series of exchange visits involving senior academics and scientists. The American academics included the presidents of Cornell, Carnegie Mellon and Rice Universities.
