The focus of this scheme is to facilitate a sabbatical for academics from Iranian universities to allow them to visit and collaborate with international-leading research teams in fields that have clear strategic focus for the individual and Iranian university.

All academic staff from Iranian universities are eligible to apply and their case should have the endorsement and support of both the department head and the relevant official of the university.

The sabbatical scheme will have the following scope and remit:

The scheme is intended for staff to visit a leading international group or institution.

There must be a clear research objective for the sabbatical that is important for development of the applicant"s research activities and has a clear strategic development for the institute and university in Iran.
